Michael Long, APC, CDP, has served the Residents of Fellowship Square-Mesa for 12 years, since December 15, 2009. He started as a Driver in our Transportation Department. Anyone that knows Michael knows he is deeply passionate about pleasing our Residents. Michael has the sincerest Heart for the Residents and has been promoted to Supervise the Life Enrichment and Transportation Departments. Michael leads with understanding and deep compassion for our Staff and Residents. It is a big job and a person of Michael’s integrity makes it look easy. His prior experience before coming to Fellowship Square-Mesa was in the Mass Transportation sector, working in the Specialty of Seniors. He supported our Valley of Seniors to get where they needed to go. He worked in that industry for eight years before coming to Fellowship Square-Mesa.
He has a few certifications, they include: Activity Professional Certified (APC) with the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals, Certified Dementia Practitioners (CDP) with the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners, and a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with multiple endorsements, most importantly including Passenger Endorsement.
Michael believes the Lord has created a Mission in his heart to Serve. He has a passion to provide an Activity Program of Excellence that will enhance our Resident’s quality of life as well as a safe and comfortable Transportation system. Being a member of the Fellowship Square-Mesa Organization has been an honor for Michael. We are blessed to have him a part of the Fellowship Square-Mesa Family.
I love living in a community where my friends appreciate my sense of humor: 10,000 Swedes came thru the weeds chased by one Norwegian. The dust from the weeds and sweat from the Swedes made snuff for the one Norwegian.
I enjoy riding the bus to and from medical appointments. I don't have to think about where to go or park my car. And I love the drivers, they are so patient and kind.
I am so happy that I am living at Fellowship Square. The food is wonderful and I can play bridge whenever I want.
