Retirement Living in a Pandemic, we take your health seriously.

During times of turbulence and uncertainty it can feel like the only way to stay safe is to dig your heels in and buckle down for the foreseeable future.  However, it is especially important that we care for ourselves physically and mentally during these difficult times.

Are you lacking in social stimulation? Would some housekeeping or home cooked meals be helpful? Good news! It is possible to safely make the move to Independent Living during this Covid-19 pandemic and by doing so you could socialize and receive home help.

How can a senior living community be a safe move? Well, first, it’s important to know that Fellowship Square follows CDC guidelines to the Tee. We work diligently to keep our Covid policies updated with the most recent guidelines and policies. For example, in order to enter our Independent Living campus, you must first go through a Screening process. During this process your temperature will be taken and you must answer a questionnaire concerning any exposer to or symptoms of, Covid-19.  More information on our screening procedure and current Covid policies is available.

Our retirement homes are set in an outdoor community. What does this mean? Lush grass, tall palm trees, citrus trees and more make up our grounds. So, during quarantine you can still appreciate and take in these bits of nature from your home. When you look out your dining room window, you’ll have a view of a lush landscape and colorful flowers, never the inside of another hallway! Not only is this visually appealing but it keeps you safe from the rapid spread of germs that occur when multiple people share air vents as such in inside complexes.  Our park-like setting adds an additional layer of protection against any illness, from the common cold to COVID-19.

Once you’ve moved in to our retirement living community you should know that our activities department works hard to give each resident a variety of choices to satisfy their social needs while also keeping them safe and comfortable. Engage in socially distanced walks, movies or bible studies. Or, tune in to Chaplain Al’s Virtual Bible Studies and follow along in your work book! Musicians preform regularly in the common area courtyards so, open your window to attend the concert! Whether you’d like to social distance in the activities rooms or prefer to participate in activities from the safely of your own home, you have the ability to choose at Fellowship Square. Check out our activities calendar to see these months upcoming adventures.

Lastly, it’s important to note that our Assisted Living nurses are currently preparing to offer vaccines to any and every resident and staff member at Fellowship Square Senior Living Community. With vaccines in the works, Covid sanitation policies in place, social distanced activities and virtual activities to choose from and separate air vents there is no doubt that Fellowship Square is the best choice for those needing assisted living to stay healthy both physically and mentally during Covid-19.

Seniors who are looking for comfort during this time can find it here at Fellowship Square Independent and Assisted Living community. Please reach out if you have questions on any of our procedures, services, or campus by calling us at 833-944-1673 or schedule a tour to see our grounds and senior apartments for yourself.
