COVID-19: Assisted Living
It is with great excitement that we share this news: The Oasis is permitted to offer limited visits with families and residents!
Following guidance from the Arizona Department of Health, we have identified responsible and safe ways to allow you to interact with your loved ones.
We are permitted to offer two (2) types of visits: Indoor and Outdoor. Each visit type has its own unique set of guidelines. The guidelines and requirements for each visit can be reviewed here.
These plans do not include the Salon at this time. We know our residents are longing for these services. However, these amenities are not a part of this restricted opening phase.
On August 28th, the Arizona Department of Health Services announced guidance for visitation at congregate settings for vulnerable adults.
Following this guidance, we have identified responsible and safe ways to allow you to interact with your loved ones.
However, we will have a waiting period before we can move forward with these visits.
Once our building has been COVID-Free for 14 days or longer, we will be permitted to offer two (2) types of visits: Indoor and Outdoor. Each visit type has its own unique set of guidelines.
These plans do not include the Salon at this time. We know our residents are longing for these services. But these amenities are not part of this restricted opening phase.
While we are all excited to move forward, we must remember that these visits come with great risk. We continue to recognize that the safest way to prevent the spread of any virus, is to stay home in effort to limit your exposure. Even though we are taking every precaution possible, precautions have limitations. These plans are our first steps in re-opening, we promise to keep you posted as plans develop.
Across our senior living community, we continue to monitor the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) websites for any updates on guidelines and directives.
The following precautions remain in place:
As mandated by Maricopa County, everyone is required to wear masks/face coverings while out in public and in congregate settings. Staff and visitors are required to wear them at all times.
We will continue to screen staff, medical personnel and visitors daily as they enter the campus. They are required to sign-in, record their temperature and answer a series of screening questions that assess signs, symptoms and exposure to COVID-19. This process is required for every building on campus.
As always, thank you for your support and patience. Your encouragement and prayers have meant so much. The safety and well-being of our residents is our top priority.
Please reach out to us with questions or concerns, as we move forward.
