Hi! My name is Al Story and I have the privilege of being the chaplain here at Fellowship Square, Tucson. I have been a licensed and ordained evangelical Christian minister for 20 years, and hold a Master of Divinity degree. I have served on staff at churches in California and Arizona for approximately 5 years before God called me to serve here at Fellowship Square Tucson. I have been the spiritual leader and minister here for 10 years, having joined the Christian Care team in June 2003.
We here at Christian Care Companies realize that people are not limited to the physical, mental and emotional segments of life. We understand the reality that we were created by the Lord, and that as such, we also have an area of need for the spiritual. We have an innate ability and need for spiritual interaction with the God who made us. I am the one here at Fellowship Square who has the privilege of addressing and meeting our residents’ interests or needs in the emotional, mental and especially, spiritual areas of life.
In order to meet those needs, I minister in a variety of ways. I do limited counseling, make welcome visits to our new residents, visit our hospitalized residents (at all levels of care), lead several Bible studies during the week, oversee Sunday afternoon on-site worship services, offer a comprehensive and extremely effective grief recovery class, and network with church and government leaders here in Tucson, which allows more people to learn who we are and how we can help them.
If you have any questions about Fellowship Square or my ministry here, please feel free to give me a call. I’d be happy to talk with you and answer any questions you may have. We welcome you to our home. It’s a great place to live, and a great place to work, and I wholeheartedly echo the sentiment: Fellowship Square is Tucson’s best choice for senior living!
Since becoming a resident four years ago, Fellowship Square has met my physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs beautifully. I enjoy participating in supervised fitness activities, discussion groups and long-distance fieldtrips sponsored by Fellowship Square.
Bus transportation is available for grocery shopping, trips to banks and appointments. Housekeeping support is provided twice a month. The prompt responses to small maintenance issues are much appreciated by residents. We’re grateful that security personnel are available 24 hours daily. Excellent dining services meet our diverse dietary needs. Personal assistance is also available to those who require additional resident services.
The outdoor environment at Fellowship Square is especially appealing to me because of the plentiful trees, shrub, flowers, birds, pools, fountains and shaded ramadas. So, why not make plans, NOW, to broaden your horizons, develop new friendships, and share your experiences and interests with others.
