How It Works: Radar-Based AI for Safer Assisted Living
Helpany’s radar-based AI device, affectionately known as Paul, is at the heart of this recognition. Unlike cameras or wearable devices, Paul offers discreet, privacy-protected monitoring to detect falls and health changes in real time. This proactive approach allows caregivers to respond quickly, preventing emergencies before they happen, while respecting the dignity and independence of residents in assisted living.

The results have been remarkable. Since installing Paul in every assisted living apartment, Fellowship Square Mesa has seen:
- 70% reduction in falls within just two months
- Fewer ER visits and hospitalizations
- Over $200,000 in value delivered to residents and families in that same time frame
