Alicia Juarez, RN, BSN

Director of Assisted Living
Alicia Juarez has been proud to serve in nursing for over 27 years. Born and raised in Arizona, Alicia began her journey into healthcare in a very personal way. After almost losing her life, she spent weeks in a hospital bed, unable to move. Alicia says, "One day, a gentle nurse gave me a bed bath; it was the first sense of dignity and comfort I had felt in three long weeks. That moment made my recovery manageable, and I thought to myself, 'I want to make someone feel like this.' That was the beginning of my nursing journey, and I never looked back." Over the years, Alicia worked her way up to LPN and then RN, BSN.
In January 2025, Alicia joined Fellowship Square Surprise, bringing her passion and experience as a Regional Healthcare Specialist, where she supported communities across Arizona and Texas. For the past 12 years, Alicia has focused on assisted living and memory support, while also becoming a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified Montessori Dementia Practitioner, and Licensed Assisted Living Manager. Teaching is one of her greatest joys. She is proud to serve as both a caregiver instructor and, most recently, a dementia instructor, helping future caregivers discover the heart behind providing memory support.
While Alicia's career means so much to her, she says her greatest joy is her family. She is blessed with six amazing children, two playful fur babies, and a wonderfully supportive husband. When she isn't working or teaching, you'll probably find her traveling with her family and friends, exploring new places, and creating lasting memories.
Alicia said, "I live by one of my favorite quotes from Maya Angelou: 'Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better."
Most of all, Alicia loves getting to know the people around her, hearing residents' stories, learning about their families, and building a community rooted in compassion and connection.
