Shawn Moore joined Fellowship Square Surprise as the Dining Services Director in June 2026, bringing nearly two decades of culinary experience and a genuine passion for serving seniors.

Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Shawn moved to the Phoenix area after high school to attend the Arizona Culinary Institute in Scottsdale, graduating in 2007. His culinary career has included experience in fine dining, country clubs, and resorts, including Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort in Paradise Valley, where he worked alongside renowned Food Network chefs.

His path to senior living began in 2012, when he took what he initially expected to be a second summer job shortly before the birth of his son. He quickly discovered how much he enjoyed bringing his fine-dining background into a senior living setting and creating meals that residents truly appreciated. That experience sparked a passion for senior living dining that has continued throughout his career.

His approach to leadership and service starts with recognizing that the community is first and foremost the residents’ home. His philosophy is simple: “We are guests working in your home.” He maintains an open-door policy and welcomes questions, comments, and concerns from residents. As he puts it, “If I don’t know about it, I can’t fix it.”

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Carolyn, whom he married in 2010, and their two children, Jude and Lilian.
